Founder

I started Periscope Financial Ops after realizing how many small business owners are operating without a clear, up-to-date understanding of their numbers.

Before this, I served as a U.S. Navy officer, working in environments where decisions depended on having an accurate, real-time picture of what was happening. That mindset—having clear visibility before making decisions—stuck with me. After the military, I spent several years as a management consultant advising Fortune 100 companies, helping large organizations use data and structured processes to make better strategic decisions.

When I transitioned into working more closely with small and mid-sized businesses, I was surprised to see how often that same level of financial clarity was missing.

In many cases, the books are only cleaned up once a year for taxes. By then, the opportunity to fix problems or make better decisions has already passed.

I built Periscope Financial Ops to change that.

My goal is simple: make sure your books are clean, up to date, and actually useful on a monthly basis—so you always know where your business stands. Profit, cash flow, and expenses shouldn’t be a guess or a year-end surprise.

I primarily work with small and mid-sized businesses, with a focus on supporting veteran-owned companies. As a fellow veteran, I understand the operational mindset and the importance of having reliable information to make decisions.

At the end of the day, this isn’t just about bookkeeping. It’s about giving you the clarity and confidence to run your business without flying blind.

Built for Businesses That Refuse to Settle

Periscope Financial Ops was built on a simple idea: small business owners should have the same level of financial clarity and control as any well-run operation.

Most bookkeeping today is designed for tax filing—not for actually running a business. Numbers get cleaned up once a year, long after decisions have been made. By then, it’s too late to change anything that mattered.

We do things differently.

We provide a consistent, monthly close process that keeps your books accurate, up to date, and usable—so you always know where your business stands. Profit, cash flow, and expenses aren’t guesses or delayed reports—they’re clear, current, and actionable.

Our approach is grounded in an operational mindset shaped by military experience. In high-stakes environments, decisions depend on having a clear, real-time understanding of what’s happening. Running a business should be no different.

We work primarily with small and mid-sized businesses, with a focus on veteran-owned companies, helping owners move from reactive, year-end accounting to a system that supports better decisions every month.

The goal is simple: give you clean financials, real visibility, and the confidence to run and grow your business without flying blind.
